Chinese Partner

CNMA was established in 1988, as a first-level association, to represent the Chinese nonprescription drug industry, and serve as a platform for the exchange and cooperation among pharmaceutical and industrial enterprises, and a bridge between the industry, enterprises, government, and consumers. CNMA joined the World Federation of Pharmaceutical Manufacturers (WFPMM) in 1988, and the Global Self-Care Federation (GSCF) in 2019. The latter is an official partner of the World Health Organization (WHO), providing advice and recommendations to the WHO in developing global pharmaceutical and health industry standards and regulations.

 CNMA activities:

 “Popularizing, educating, training, and publishing self-medication knowledge; promoting the orderly development of the health industry; participating in the formulation of policies and regulations related to drug classification management and medical system reform; improving OTC marketing and brand communication; promoting fruitful cooperation between OTC drug manufacturers, distributors, and pharmacies; international exchange and cooperation ; and empowering consumers’ independent health through the artificial intelligence, and digital technologies”.
